This week’s LiveWell Newsletter highlights opportunities to take proactive steps toward better health and well-being in Finney County. In partnership with the Finney County Health Department, LiveWell is offering a free CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program for adults with prediabetes or those at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. This evidence-based program focuses on small, realistic lifestyle changes and includes weekly sessions beginning January 23. Space is limited, and registration is required.

The newsletter also emphasizes the importance of reducing stigma around mental health and suicide prevention, reminding our community that conversations can save lives. January is Thyroid Awareness Month, and residents are encouraged to talk with their healthcare provider if they notice symptoms such as fatigue or unexplained weight changes. Upcoming meetings and trainings, including LHEAT, Mental Health First Aid, and coalition gatherings, offer additional ways to stay connected and engaged. Everyone is encouraged to save 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, as a vital resource for themselves or someone they care about.
