Here in Finney County and across Southwest Kansas, our community’s health is our top priority. That’s why we’re sharing a critical piece of information that demands our immediate attention:

A recent report from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) revealed that in 2022, Southwest Kansas reported the LOWEST colorectal cancer screening rates by region across the entire state.

This statistic is alarming, especially considering that colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when detected early. These low screening rates mean too many of our neighbors are potentially missing out on life-saving early detection or prevention of this serious disease.
